The Accessibility and Equalities Unit aims "to make policies and provision for public transport users, pedestrians and motorists that are acceptable, accessible, available, affordable and safe, and to promote diversity in transport policy development."

Greater Manchester Council for Voluntary Organisations

GMCVO is is the support (infrastructure) organisation for the voluntary sector in the sub-region of Greater Manchester.

Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive

GMPTE is the executive arm of the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority and is responsible for public transport throughout the sub-region.

Transport for Communities

Transport for Communities is a consultancy partnership specialising in a wide range of development support services for the community transport sector.

Transport Resource Unit

The Transport Resource Unit (TRU), a project of GMCVO, has the specific remit of focusing on transport issues as experienced by the voluntary sector and also provides a direct link between the voluntary sector and the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority (GMPTA).

VOSA (Vehicle & Operator Services Agency)

VOSA provides a range of licensing, testing and enforcement services with the aim of improving the roadworthiness standards of vehicles ensuring the compliance of operators and drivers, and supporting the independent Traffic Commissioners.
