About PACT
Commencing operations in April 2001, PACT has grown from a 2 vehicle service linking the communities of Partington and Cadishead with the aim of improving employment opportunities for local people. From the outset we have improved and increased services year on year to meet the needs of local people. Originally funded by a Rural Bus Challenge grant and supported by GMPTE, PACT now employs 10 local people supported by 4 volunteers and provides a service for over 6000 passengers per month, linking with local transport services and providing transport enabling people to access local health, education, higher education, employment, shopping and leisure opportunities.
